It's just been confirmed by Fox that "The Thing" in the upcoming reboot to the "Fantastic Four", titled, "Fantastic Four: Reborn" will be 100% CGI. I think that's the best thing to do for the character. They intend for this "Thing" to be more "HULK" than the last one, portrayed by Michael Chiklis. Bigger and, well more HULKish. AWESOME!
Fox also confirmed that a script is deffo in the works right as I do this post and that the film won't go into production until they begin filming on "X-Men: First Class" in September. So we can possibly see filming for the reboot begin near the end of this year anyway. They haven't told us when they plan to release the film, probably be more of a end of 2011, possibly pushing for Summer 2012 slot, next to "The Avengers", "BATMAN 3", "Star Trek II" and "Spider-Man Reboot". We'll see............

Sickishly Brilliant!
I've just finished watching the leaked 9 minute preview of "Piranha 3D". It's so sickning, but brilliantly done. Especially the big beach party attack, which the pic above is from. The film is so gonna be rated 18. If it's not rated 18, then the MPAA are off their heads, because the blood and gore that I saw in the preview was so graphic, that I actually felt sick while watching it. But I'm still gonna see the film when it comes out in the UK in August 20th. If everyone who see's it is sick, then the creators have managed to get what they wanted. They wanted people to watch this film and think, "OH SICK!" and then be sick.
I would leave the link on this post, but I think that it'll be taken off the net before tomorrow morning. And also, I think I may get into trouble for having something like that on my blog. If you wanna watch it, then search for it yourself, or just wait till the film is released.

"Machete" Comic-Book Series Is Coming

First "Rise Of The Apes" On-Set Pics
Above is the very first three on-set pics from "Rise Of The Apes". In the pic, we can see James Franco and Freida Pintos characters walking alongside Andy Serkis in a motion capture suit, that would then, on screen will make Serkis look like Caeser. The other two pics feature Serkis and Franco.
Rambo Prequel Coming?
Even though Stallone has cancelled "RAMBO V", he's now pondering with the thought of writing and directing a "RAMBO" prequel. He plans for the prequel to tell the back-story of John Rambo back in the war, way before "First Blood".
Obviously it would mean that Sly would have to look for a much younger actor for the role, say someone in their mid-to-late 20's. It's gonna be extremely hard to find someone as good as Stallone when as Rambo.
I wonder what Stallone will call the prequel. Will he give it the typical prequel name, like, "RAMBO: The Beginning" or something like "RAMBO: Origins Of A Warrior". Now that would be an EPIC title.

He is the newset actor to join the cast of the highly-anticipated fast-track film with all of the actors taking on the roles of the younger versions of the X-Men and their Villians, well, except for Kevin Bacon. Sorry.

New Sherlock Was Offered The Role Of The 11th Doctor!
Today, new Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) revealed in an interview that he was close to signing the contract to play The 11th Doctor in the "Doctor Who".
He was offered the role by Steven Moffat, who is the producer of the newer "Doctor Who" and he's now the creator of the new "Sherlock". But the actor thought about it and asked for some advice from previous Doctor, David Tennent. They both had a very long talk about it, but chose to turn down the deal. I can personally see him play a Doctor. Cumberbatch acts a lot like The Doctor when in "Sherlock".
Now, the BBC have said that even though he never went for the 11th Doctor, he may very well go for the role of The 12th Doctor instead. AWESOME! Well, basically they're saying never say never! I think that he'd be amazing for the role of The Doctor, when Smith leaves, which I hope is not too soon. And it was also revealed that Matt Smith himself went in for the role of Dr Watson in the new "Sherlock" series. But got the role of The 11th Doctor instead.

More "Pirates 4" On-Set Pics!
Above, we get the first look at Barbossa and also our first look at Penelope Cruz's character in the film. Cruz plays the daughter of Blackbeard (Ian McShane).
"Tron: Legacy" Prequel Comic!
I can't wait for the new "Tron" film to come out this December. So to keep me and the fans occupied till then, Marvel have released a two-part comic book prequel to the new "Tron: Legacy" film. The plot of the comic will take place between the first film and the new one.
The prequel comic is titled, "Tron: Betrayal". The plot is as follows, Kevin Flynn is now incharge of Ecnom, which is the world's largest games company. Flynn develops a new virtual world known as a Grid. It's filled with living programms. But the Grid gets out of control and Flynn calls on an old friend to help him gain back the control of the world. That friend is Tron.
The two-part comic book is set for release in later in October. Here's hoping it's good enough to keep us going till the movie.

"The Avengers" First Official Logo!
The new logo is okay. It's not amazing, but I guess it is a teaser logo. It'll probably get better in the next year or so.
RoboCop: 2010 Reboot Has Been Officially Cancelled!
It was sadly announced at Comic-Con, that "Robocop: 2010 Reboot" has been officially cancelled. I think everyone saw it coming.
"The Hobbit" must be next to get cancelled, because those films are big bucks and they'll cost the company millions.
This is what the films director had to say on the matter, "Gone. Kaput. Cancelled. It was one of the first casualties. I've lost interest anyway. Think we're all just going to have to be happy with the three "Robocop" movies are out there."
"BOND 23" was cancelled, well, is now not cancelled. So maybe this will get picked up by another company. Here's hoping."The Hobbit" must be next to get cancelled, because those films are big bucks and they'll cost the company millions.
Matt Reeves And Tony Scott In Talks To Direct "Wolverine 2"?
It looks like both Matt "Cloverfield" Reeves and Tony "Spy Games" Scott are both being considered to direct the next "Wolverine" film, when it begins filming in January 2011. So who will it be? Who's gonna get the role of director? Only time will tell.
The Josh Hutcherson Spiderman Audition Pics!
These pics of Josh Hutcherson's "Spiderman" auditions have just been released into the public. Personally, they look fucking awfull. Really they do. Thank god he never got the role and it's not because of the acney, I don't know if the acney is his or make-up for the role as the teenager going through puberty. He looks okay, but I would rather see Andrew Garfield in the role, even though he's taller and slimmer. He muscle up a bit for the role.
Jon Hamm To Play New Superman?
Reports are saying that Warner Bros. are really considering to close the deal for the "Superman" role with Jon "Mad Men" Hamm. I guess he looks more like the role than the others. But he's pushing 40 years old. And he'll be like 42 going on 43 when "The Man Of Steel" hits cinema's in December 2012.
I guess he could be okay, as Robert Downey Jr is older (like 44/45) in the role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man. We'll probably find out who Warner will pick soon.

BBC's "Sherlock" Is A Work Of Genius!
Last night (Sunday 25th), BBC 1 and it's audience saw the modern day verison of the London's much beloved "consulting detective", Sherlock Holmes.
The show was amazingly well done from the minute it started to the minute it finished. When watching the show, you could tell that he was written by Steven Moffat, because the way Sherlock acted, was so like Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor. Benedict Cumberbatch starred as the young Holmes. He was a cross between, The Eleventh Doctor and Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes from Guy Richie's 2009 film.
Martin "The Office" Freeman plays the modern Dr John Watson, who has just returned from Afghanistan, as he was a doctor there. Freemans Watson was much better than Jude Laws incarnation of the role in the 2009 film. Now, Cumberbatch wasn't better than Downey Jr's Sherlock, they were both equal with their crazyness and amazingness. Only Cumberbatch is younger than Downey Jr.
Anyway, now back to what the episode is about. The episode starts with the police investigating a series of mysterious deaths that turn out to be suicides. They all seem to have taken a poisonous pill, that looks like a wee bug. The police have no idea whats going on, so they turn to their unofficial consultant, Sherlock Holmes. He tells them that the suicides turn out to be murders.
Holmes is then introduced to Dr John Watson, and they immediately move into a flat together in Baker Street. After some more deaths, it turns out that the person responsible for the deaths is a London cab-driver. The cab-driver meets with Holmes and reveals to him that his victims took their own lives by playing a game of Russian Roulette with two pills. One pill is fatally poisonous and the other is safe. Watson then shoots the cab-driver. Before his death, the cab-driver reveals that Moriaty was behind the entire plan.
I really thought the episode was excellent. I'd give it 10 out of 10. I can't wait for this Sunday's episode, titled, "The Blind Banker".

Green Lantern Game
I don't know what the games about really. No one does at this point either. But I'm sure it'll be a great game. Well, here's hoping it is. All I know is that it'll have something to do with the plot of the film. Maybe it's set before the film, as a tie-in or something like that.
The New Godzilla!
This is what the creators of the new "Godzilla" movie want their monster lizard to look like. I really love the new design. I think it's cool looking and I can't wait to see it on the big screen, when the film is released in 2012.
"The Avengers" Fan Poster
The guys over at Movieweb.com designed this fan-art poster for "The Avengers". I think it's pretty kick-ass. I actually thought it was real at first.

Mark Ruffalo Is The HULK!
Mark Ruffalo has just been confirmed at Comic-Con to be the new actor to take on the role of "The Hulk" in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" in 2012. He's not the best actor to have been chosen, but he's not the worst either.
"The Punisher" Franchise To Get Another Reboot?
That's right guys and gals. You've red it correctly. Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios revealed that he has plans for another "Punisher" film. This sounds good. The only downfall is that it's not gonna be a sequel to 2008's "War Zone", it's gonna be another reboot. COME ON! Enough reboots. Just do some fucking sequels.
First It was "Spider-man" then it was "The Fantastic Four" then it's "Daredevil" and now it's "The Punisher". Just make a sequel. This reboot will be the 3rd reboot to "The Punisher".
Now the question is, "Who will Marvel choose to play The Punisher?"

Kate Beckinsale Going Back To The Underworld?
Les Wiseman, co-creator of the "Underworld" franchise has plans for a fourth film in the franchise that will take place after the second. So because of that story, he intends to try and bring back Kate Beckinsale into the franchise as the sexy female version of Blade, Selene.
There is no news yet on wether a fourth film will deffo happen or even if Beckinsale will return. All we know is that Wiseman is hoping that if he gets a fourth film, then he hopes for a September 2011 release date.

"DEXTER: Series 5" Comic-Con Trailer!
Now, I haven't saw "Dexter: Series 4" yet. But stupidly I looked into Wikipedia and found out who died at the end of the series. I AM A FUCKING IDIOT!
Anyway, "Dexter" fans @ Comic-Con were treated with an exclusive look at the shows fifth season. It looks so sad, but amazing. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUbCMbW-BRE

Jeremy Renner Is Hawkeye!
The great Joss Whedon, who's just been announced as the director of "The Avengers" has officially announced that actor Jeremy Renner has signed on to play the role of Hawkeye in the upcoming Marvel epic! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!
I have the link to the video of Joss Whedon confirming it. In this video, Whedon jokes about killing off Iron Man in a funny pre-title sequence and then added that he plans to kill Hawkeye. And here's the link: http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/104619-sdcc-whedon-confirms-renner-as-hawkeye-in-the-avengers

More "Lost Boys" Films And Possible TV Show On The Way?
Corey Feldman has revealed in an interview with Bloody Disgusting that he and the studio have plans for at least three more films and a possible TV series, with him returning to them all. This is what he had to say on the TV series, ''I don't know if we'd go as far as animated because, you know, it's not really a kid thing. But the limits are endless at this point. We really want to see how people react to this film and then we'll gauge how far we want to take it. But we have mapped out a very distinctive future for the Frog brothers and their crusades in fighting vampires."
And this is what he had to say on plans for a fourth film, "Whether we're going to go back and do a prequel or fill in the in-between of what happened between the second and the third movie, or the third and beyond, that I can't give away. But I can tell you we've pretty eloquently mapped it out and we see this as a series that's going to go on for quite a while."
And finally, this is what he had to say on the plans for at least three more films, “We have a master plan, much like the STAR WARS kind of baseline if you will. We’ve pretty much plotted out at this point three more films that we could see happening. We’re going all kinds of places that are really interesting. Everybody was waiting for the Frog brothers to get back together and now we accomplished that with this film.”

The "Green Lantern" Logo
The "Green Lantern" logo was revealed in @ Comic-Con earlier today. It's better than the first time we got to see it. It's clearer and sharper. And it's totally awesome!
